Dog Days of Summer

It truly is the Dog Days of Summer right now....and man, has it been a crazy one.  Between Shadow's tail and tons of other weird stuff happening, I am so ready for this month to already be over (and it just started!!) But, we do have a LOT of fun stuff happening this month, so let's not forget to have fun and just bear through this icky nasty Oklahoma heat.

This week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday) we have the Club 490 class and the July Double Page Layout Class.

At this time, this group of Club 490 is full.  If I get 5 or more interested, I will start a second group of Club 490-ers.  (Club 490 is a group that loves all things Wendy Vecchi and we will be using her products to create fun projects and cards each month.  The projects build on each other and use products received in prior month's classes so a 3 month commitment is required).  Cost is $35 per month.

Double Page Layout Class is using Authentique's new Christmas collection, "Jingle" and Kiwi Lane Templates to create a fun 12x12 double page layout.  I made 2 extra kits for this class so if you are still interested, you can pay online and drop in Tuesday through Friday of this week to do this class.  Cost is $20.  Link to purchase this class

As a reminder, we will be closed on Saturday, July 14th and Tuesday, July 17th because I will be in Salt Lake City at Summer Market.  We will reopen at noon on Wednesday, July 18th.  HOWEVER, keep an eagle eye on our facebook page while I'm gone because I will be popping on with updates, surprises and other fun stuff.

Dyan Reaveley Weekend update
Dyan Reaveley will be at Paper Arts teaching on Saturday, July 21st and Sunday, July 22nd.  Two different classes.  Each day it is from 10am to 5:30pm.  Cost for the weekend is $260 or $140/class if you only want one day..  I have room for just a couple more folks (Ranger is working on the kits this week).  If you'd like to get in on this class, this is your last chance.

Saturday July 21st:

We are thrilled to host Dyan's Inky 101 Workshop at Paper Arts. Dyan’s favorite way of making backgrounds is with her Dylusions spray inks. A fabulous way to create fun, vibrant and quick backgrounds for your art journal pages. In today’s workshop Dyan will take you step by step through the many ways you can use them, ways you’ve never even thought about. They will soon become your favourites too.

Techniques include spraying, ghosting, layers, faux bleach, stained glass, pastels and scribbled layers.

In the afternoon we will be adding borders, silhouettes and stamps to enable you to continue your art journaling adventure.

Large Dylusions journal included in class.
Class Fee: $140

Let Dyan show you all the tips and tricks to incorporate them into your art journals. Learn many styles of backgrounds including brayering, baby wiping, building layers and journal blocking.
You will also get the chance to play with the new Gel printing plates.

For those that may not have noticed, I'm slowly loading the classes for the upcoming months on to our website and our Facebook page under Events.
These are complete with pictures, details, and sign up forms.  Many of these classes are limited in space due to availability of product so please if you are interested, sign up early.  Also, some of the classes are on very specific dates/times.  Be sure to check the dates on the classes.  If it has multiple dates listed, you can come any time during those dates to do the class.  If it only has one date listed, then it is a traditional class with a set start and end time.

To Sign Up for a class via FB Events...just go to the Event page of the class you want.  Then click the Tickets Link.  This will take you to our website.  If the website does not have the ability to add it to the cart, double check the RSVP date.  If the RSVP date is already past, then the class is no longer available for enrollment (class details stay out there for those that have signed up so they can refer back to it for supply list, etc..)

All classes have an RSVP by date on them.  This is especially important to notice because unfortunately I cannot allow any late enrollments and still have time to properly prep all the materials for everybody.  I appreciate your attention to this detail.  Thanks!

Don't forget, in addition to our Christmas in July classes and events going on throughout the month, July 31st through August 3rd we will be having a very special Christmas in July Sale.  I have tons of holiday items I will be bringing in just for this event.  So get your Santa Hat out and start prepping because this you will not want to miss!

As a quick reminder, please do not feed Shadow human food when you are visiting the store.  Her stomach is finicky and cannot handle what you think it should be able to handle or what your dog may be able to handle.  Thanks!
Cut, Glue, & Glitter on.....
